HiQ in partnership with Women in Tech Sweden 2023

For the second year in a row, HiQ partners with Women in Tech Sweden on the journey towards a more equal tech industry. The partnership extends throughout 2023 and includes participation in the #WITswe2023 conference in Stockholm on March 23rd. “I’m very happy that we are continuing our collaboration with Women in Tech Sweden, which gives us a platform to continue to discuss and contribute to an even more inclusive industry. There is no doubt that we must continue to work actively be an attractive employer to all candidates on the market regardless of background, gender, or age. With our participation in the conference, we also get the opportunity for many direct dialogues with candidates – which I look forward to,” says Samuel Skott, CEO of HiQ.
“Our work to continue building a culture of inclusion where diversity becomes our strength is long-term and an important priority for us as we advance. The initiatives we will put in place will be based on our employees’ perspective and regular data follow-up, not least from the recruitment perspective. The goal is not to see any differences based on gender in how we attract, recruit, and develop at HiQ. This is where our partnership with Women in Tech plays an important part. We want to get better, just as the industry can get a lot better,” says Helena Herolf, Chief People Officer at HiQ.
Women in Tech Sweden aims to inspire women to choose a career in media and tech – and get those already in the industry to stay by providing role models, networks, and experience of successful, interesting, and pioneering people. This is done through an annual conference and other events. Today the organization has 18,000 members, and everyone is welcome regardless of gender; we can only create a change together.
“For us, it’s important to work long-term with our partners to achieve a change in the industry. So, we are very excited to have HiQ with us for the second year on our journey towards a more inclusive industry,” says Elin Eriksson, Director Women in Tech.
The Women in Tech conference is held at the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre on March 23rd. The conference is the largest in its segment for women in the Nordic region. #WITswe2023 has the theme Charged and Ready to Raise. In a time when crises seem to be the new normal, we need to get ready to find new ways forward.

There are two kinds of tech.
The good kind, that makes everything work without making a sound. It just works. And then there’s the high maintenance kind. The attention-lover that can make any task take forever. That sucks all the fun out of your day, and everyone else’s too. And if you add all that up, it amounts to a whole lot of useless time.
We decided to dedicate the entire workforce of our company to do something about that waste. But to win the battle, we need more people who wants to join the good fight. Let’s join forces and simply end bad tech. Now.
