What’s your role at HiQ and what does a typical day look like?
I work as an IT consultant and spend most of my days programming. But the job can really vary – just the other day I was troubleshooting a short circuit in a piece of hardware. It’s a role that’s perfect for someone who loves learning new things and wants support along the way.
What’s the best thing about working at HiQ?
Definitely the people! We have a lot of fun together, and you can feel it as soon as you walk into the office. There’s an energy and enthusiasm here that’s truly contagious.
What are you most proud of being part of?
Oh, that’s a tough one! But I’m really proud of completing the Svenska Halvklassikern in 2024. It felt almost impossible when I started, but I did it – and that’s something I’ll carry with me for a long time.
How would you describe HiQ’s culture?
I’d say the culture is open, curious, and unpretentious. It’s easy to ask for help, and people are usually more than happy to share what they know. You’re genuinely encouraged to grow here.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? What’s your “geeky passion”?
I’ve always got a few hobby projects going – right now I’m building an automated watering system that reads the moisture levels in my plants and waters them when needed. I also really enjoy cooking, and sometimes I probably take it a bit too far on the technical side… but with the right tools, it usually turns out great!
