HiQ to build bidding application for Svensk Bilsport

Svensk Bilsport, the association for Swedish motorsports, is ready to take the next step into the future by developing an app for the entire bidding and purchase process for vehicles in the sport of folk racing. An invitation to tender has been out to several tech companies for some time, and the board of Svensk Bilsport has now chosen HiQ to perform the work. “We are delighted that Svensk Bilsport has chosen to expand their collaboration with HiQ! We are incredibly strong in app development, and we have noticed a growing demand for our expertise in this field. This transition is not limited to ourselves; it is becoming increasingly important in the digital world we live in. We are looking forward to continuing our excellent collaboration with Svensk Bilsport and to this specific assignment as well,” says Fredrik Malm, acting CEO of HiQ.

Race organisers and drivers within Svensk Bilsport have long demanded a digital solution to simplify the association’s work, especially since cash is becoming increasingly uncommon in Swedish society. As a result, Svensk Bilsport is now taking the next step by developing and building an app for implementing the entire bidding and purchasing process for vehicles in the sport of folk racing, and now choose HiQ as their partner to take on the assignment.

“This is yet another step in our digital development, which began with the license app built by HiQ. We feel excited in that we can now continue to develop our own capital in the form of digital solutions for bidding. This is where we are at the moment. Furthermore, we will explore other digital functions that can be added in future to simplify matters for participants in folk racing. However, there will certainly be synergy effects that can benefit other sports as well,” says Anna Nordkvist, general secretary of Svensk Bilsport.

The work should be completed by the beginning of the 2023 season when the rules of folk racing will be adapted to permit digital bidding. The bidding process is the first component of the application that will now be built.

Hi 👋
I’m Sandra and I work with PR & Communications at HiQ. Do you want to know more about all the cool things we do at HiQ, or have any other questions? Don’t hesitate to get in touch!

HiQ, with the vision of becoming northern Europe’s leading tech consultancy firm, has in a short period of time acquired several businesses and opened new offices, including in Jönköping. The company now reveals the next stage of its expansion, opening a new office in Helsingborg. This is the next stop on the company’s expansion journey and will create many new jobs locally. “We are growing in the south of Sweden, which is awesome! The fact that we are opening an office in Helsingborg shows the importance of the Skåne region. Both because of all the companies based there and because we can add even more awesome colleagues to our team, who can join us in simplifying the world through tech, design, and creativity. Having an office in Helsingborg means that we can reach even more customers and new colleagues,” says Fredrik Malm, acting CEO of HiQ.

HiQ is investing heavily in becoming northern Europe’s leading tech consultancy, and, undoubtedly, the company is on a journey of expansion. HiQ has opened a new office in Jönköping and, in a short time, acquired several companies in Sweden, Finland, and Germany. As recently as the spring, HiQ announced the acquisition of Headlight Group, with offices in Örebro, Västerås and Borlänge, as well as the German digitization consultancy Scandio. This fall, HiQ acquired the Lund-based IT consultancy company Advicon, the digital commerce specialist Lamia in Helsinki and Karlskrona-based IoT specialist Cogitel. The company now reveals its next stage of expansion by expanding its operations in Skåne with its first office in Helsingborg. Historically, Helsingborg has been a highly influential city, mainly due to its geographical location and manufacturing industry, which remains substantial. Helsingborg has also established itself as one of Europe’s most innovative cities, with major investments within the framework of H22, Helsingborg’s initiative to develop future welfare solutions aimed at improving the quality of life in a smarter, more sustainable city. The city is home to many multinational corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises, and it has a long tradition of wholesale, retail, and logistics. After Copenhagen and Malmö, the city is the fastest-growing in the Öresund Region.

“Helsingborg was the obvious choice when we were planning further expansion in the Skåne region. We already have customers here that we will now be closer to. The city is home to global corporations and smaller players that are important to us and, of course, being able to offer existing and new colleagues an office in the city is great given the importance of the city to us. We are taking over Skåne, which is really amazing,” says Åsa Melvanius, Head of Region South & VP at HiQ.

The new establishment in Helsingborg involves a high rate of expansion. With yet another office in the south of Sweden, the company is opening up for new local customers while at the same time offering existing customers access to local expertise. In addition, Helsingborg is an essential hub as a student city. This facilitates not only new job opportunities but also a potential path into working life for students via HiQ Leap, the company’s trainee programme that will start in early 2022.

The new office requires significant recruitment in Helsingborg, creating jobs locally. HiQ is looking for the stars of tomorrow to join the company and build up the local business. HiQ is convinced that tech development is the best way to make the world better, more sustainable, simpler, safer, and more fun. Anyone keen to be part of the company’s journey and expansion should apply to HiQ now.

Hi 👋

Karriärföretagen annually appoints Sweden's most attractive employers who offer unique career and development opportunities for students and young professionals. HiQ is now named Karriärföretag 2022 for the third year in a row. “I am proud that for the third year in a row, we are appointed Karriärföretag. We work hard with employer branding, and it is great that it shows. Not least when HiQ Leap, our trainee program, has its first start in early 2022,” says Fredrik Malm, acting CEO of HiQ.

Karriärföretagen is an annual award where Sweden’s most attractive employers are selected and may call themselves a Karriärföretag. This applies to employers who offer unique career and development opportunities for students and young professionals. The purpose is to guide students or those who have recently started working to a good start in their careers. HiQ is now appointed – for the third year in a row – as Karriärföretag 2022 with the motivation:

HiQ has a strong corporate culture where responsibility, joy and results are in focus. With several different activities, it is clear that at HiQ, you always have fun. HiQ shows incredible passion and commitment to creating the best possible workplace. It is obvious that HiQ believes in growing together and thus enabling its employees to be able to influence. We see attractive Employer Branding work that today attracts Sweden’s young talents.

“It is awesome that Karriärföretagen celebrates our strong corporate culture and our great passion for creating the workplace we want to work at together. This is something we really believe in and actively work for,” says Fredrik Malm, acting CEO of HiQ.

To be appointed a Karriärföretag, the company must meet some essential criteria. The company is then reviewed by an expert panel consisting of HR, communication, and social media specialists. The expert panel then rates the employers, and those who receive the highest score go on to the next step. Finally, a jury selects the top employers who will be next year’s Karriärföretag.

HiQ is constantly looking for new stars who want to contribute to a better, simpler, safer, more sustainable and more fun world. Do you want to join the party? hiq.se/jobb
