HiQ’s Chief People Officer, Helena Herolf, has been awarded Tech HR Manager of the Year by Karriärföretagen. The award was presented during the Stora Karriärdagen (Major Career Day) on October 9th.

The Tech HR Manager of the Year award is given to HR leaders who have particularly distinguished themselves among Sweden’s most attractive employers for students and young professionals, known as Karriärföretag (Career Companies). Helena Herolf received the award in the Tech category for her strategic efforts and strong commitment, which have strengthened HiQ’s HR function and contributed to a positive and growth-oriented work environment. Through implementing effective HR initiatives, she has enhanced the company’s appeal and created an environment that fosters both satisfaction and professional development.

– “This is entirely a team effort, where, together with my colleagues across HiQ, we have created a clearer direction and strengthened collaboration in how we develop as an employer. We want to emphasize that HiQ is the place where our incredibly skilled consultants combine deep technical knowledge with creativity to solve our clients’ challenges,” says Helena Herolf, Chief People Officer at HiQ.

HiQ recently launched a new visionary positioning as “The Headquarters of Tech” alongside a new branding strategy. As part of this initiative, HiQ, in collaboration with its consultants, has developed an updated employer offering.

– “We aim to be the obvious place for a vibrant community of tech enthusiasts. We are constantly working to secure new and exciting projects that not only foster personal and professional growth for all of us but also solve critical challenges for our clients and society at large. A significant part of our success has always been our culture, characterized by curiosity, authenticity, and personal development — not to mention a strong belief that technology shapes the future,” Helena Herolf concludes.

An updated brand and completely new visual identity, but the clear focus on tech, digital transformation, and tailored software solutions remains as always.

After thirty (!) years of leading the development in critical and customized software solutions, we now dare to call ourselves “Headquarters of Tech”. Cocky? Absolutely! But we think we’ve earned it.

Our goal is to be a given source of deep tech expertise. Not just through our sharp consultants and long-lasting customer relationships – but also through active and current knowledge sharing, in abundance. We do this through our recently launched knowledge hub, where we offer everything from in-depth insight articles, interesting podcast conversations, relevant webinars, and fact-filled e-books.

So, warmly welcome to dive deep into exactly what you find exciting. You can find the hub here.

– With our updated brand, we want to show even more clearly who we actually are – and that’s more than just a tech company. We are Headquarters of Tech – a network of sharp minds and ambitious clients who share the belief that technology shapes the future. Headquarters of Tech is about the critical solutions we deliver, our deep tech expertise, and, fundamentally, a culture permeated by collaboration and curiosity, always with the goal of creating lasting value by staying one step ahead and delivering solutions that truly make a difference for our customers. And of course, sharing the knowledge we gather along the way, says Samuel Skott, CEO of HiQ.

HiQ has appointed Dan Jonsson as the new regional manager for one of the company's most significant regions. With nearly thirty years of experience in the tech consulting industry, most recently as Division Manager at Nexer, Dan will take over leadership in Western Sweden, where HiQ has long been a strong player in digital transformation and tech solutions.

Dan Jonsson has held several senior national and international roles at Nexer and Sigma, including COO, regional manager, and business unit manager, as well as serving as Chairman of the Board for Sigma IT Poland for the past seven years.

He now joins HiQ, which has a strong history of supporting companies and organizations with critical and customized tech solutions in the region. With nearly 2,000 employees in total, including 350 in the Western region, the tech consulting company is helping drive digital development in areas such as functionality for autonomous vehicles, 5G network development, and digital solutions for industries like medtech and aviation.

“Western Sweden has always been important for HiQ, with a strong business sector and industries that, in many areas, drive Sweden’s digital position. With Dan’s extensive experience in the industry and the region, along with the deep expertise of our consultants, I’m confident we have fantastic opportunities to continue growing in the region. And above all, that we can continue to be a partner to all customers who want to shape the future through digital solutions,” says Samuel Skott, CEO of HiQ.

Dan Jonsson looks forward to taking on the challenge as regional manager.

“I am very happy and honored to lead HiQ’s operations in Western Sweden into the next phase. I have always thought that HiQ has a strong combination of technical expertise and creative thinking, creating a strong market position. This impression has now been reinforced, and I have been particularly impressed by the employees’ passionate commitment and pride in delivering innovative solutions in IT and tech,” says Dan Jonsson, Head of Region West at HiQ, and continues:

“With this as a foundation, I see great growth opportunities for HiQ in the Western Swedish market, especially when advancements in AI and other technologies open up entirely new opportunities to create customer value.”

Dan Jonsson will assume his new role on September 2, 2024. In addition to his regional leadership, he will join the management teams for HiQ Sweden and HiQ Group. He is replacing Simona Bamerlind, who has transitioned to the role of Vice President of Sales & Partnerships at HiQ.
