HiQ and Yamaha Motors are launching Yamaha Motor’s first-ever hardware-connected scooter in Europe, which you can connect with the MyRide app. The NMAX 125cc and 155cc Yamaha Motor’s first iOT connected vehicle in Europe and the start of a digital experience when riding your scooter. “It is very exciting for us at HiQ to be part of and contribute to the journey where Yamaha Motor’s launch their very first connected vehicle in Europe,” says Samuel Skott, CEO of HiQ.
Yamaha Motor Europe and HiQ have been developing the MyRide app together for five years. In the app, riders can find valuable information about their latest “Ride” – lean angle data, average speed, elevation, and riders are able to create and share their own routes with friends. The app uses intelligent functionalities in the phone for all data and works separately from the scooter. Now a scooter is being connected to the app for the first time – the new NMAX, starting from model year 2021 onwards, is Yamaha Motor’s first connected vehicle in Europe ever and thus the starting point of a digital experience of scooter riding.
Yamaha Motor’s new versions of the vehicles NMAX 125 and NMAX 155 allow the user to connect their scooter to MyRide App and take part in further information such as fuel consumption, their latest parked position, battery, oil status and receiving notifications about the vehicle’s status. These are some of the functions that will provide a smoother ownership and an increased experience and the opportunity to always have a good idea of how a scooter feels.
HiQ has been responsible for the design and system development of both the iOS and Android version of MyRide from the start.

Anders Wallensten has published a new version of his successful book Hälsogåtan aimed at young people. HiQ develops and designs an interactive website that schools can use without charge when working with the book. “We are delighted and honoured to be working with Anders Wallensten and Hälsogåtan. Health, especially among young people, is an issue that is important to us, which is why we have created this interactive website for schools,” says Samuel Skott, CEO of HiQ.
The success of Anders Wallensten’s book Hälsogåtan has hardly gone unnoticed. Published in December 2020, the book goes back to the origins of humankind to look at health from scientific, evolutionary, and experiential perspectives. A version of the book aimed at young people has now been published to give secondary school students the tools they need to make well-founded health decisions, and knowledge and understanding of health in general.
HiQ develops and designs the interactive website that schools will use when working with the Hälsogåtan. The digital tool will allow students to make self-assessments of health and work individually with health-related habits. For example, students can create their own health wheel based on the book’s six keys to health: exercise, food, relationships, thoughts, surroundings, and sleep. Sections of Hälsogåtan will also be available on the interactive website as an audiobook.
“It has been great to work with HiQ and develop the digital tool. It is an excellent complement to the book and the teacher’s guide, which makes it easier for young people to really absorb the knowledge from the book,” says Anders Wallensten, author of Hälsogåtan.
Class sets of the book Hälsogåtan are offered to schools through the organization SCRIIN. The book can be purchased at a favorable price, including teacher guidance supported by the digital tool that HiQ has built. Part of improving and simplifying people’s lives, which HiQ actively works for, is to strive for a healthier world.

HiQ announces the next step on the company’s expansion journey today. The tech consulting firm is growing in the German market as Scandio, that HiQ acquired in 2021, welcomes the consulting unit of Atlassian experts K15t. With the transaction, HiQ and Scandio establish its first presence in Stuttgart, Germany. "I’m happy to welcome the teams from K15t to HiQ and Scandio! Adding to the digitization powerhouse that Scandio is strengthens not only Scandio but also HiQ as a group. To see us expand our expertise within the Atlassian ecosystem and boost our positioning in the local market is great,” says Samuel Skott, CEO of HiQ.
It was only in May 2021 that HiQ acquired German digital transformation consultancy Scandio. With the headquarters in Munich, the company focuseson IT consulting, agile software development, and cloud technology. Scandio is an Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner, a partner to Amazon Web Services and has been appointed partner of the year several times. In addition, the company has a strong track record in growth, driven by digitization, its employees and unique culture.
Today, HiQ announces the next step on the tech consulting group’s growth journey in Germany. Scandio is acquiring part of Atlassian expert K15t. The unit includes specialists in customization of Atlassian Software and offers consulting services covering rollouts, custom app development, app and operations support, integration, and consolidation services. K15t will continue to build and deliver their successful apps for the Atlassian Marketplace, focusing on the company’s platform and the app business.
“We are happy for this unit of K15t to become part of Scandio and HiQ. It is a great opportunity for our employees to become part of a larger group with a presence in more countries and a broader business area. It enhances their opportunities to get better assignments. We will continue our great relationship with Scandio, as we always have. As a company, K15t will now be able to focus entirely on building apps for the Atlassian platform to help our customers unleash the potential of their products,” says Stefan Kleineikenscheidt, founder of K15t.
The unit of K15t being acquired has an office in Stuttgart, thus being the first Scandio office in the city. The department, consisting of 12 employees, will be fully integrated into Scandio, which grows to nearly 150 employees through the acquisition. In addition, culture-wise the companies are a great match. K15t strives to work better together by embracing a value-driven culture of openness, innovation, and empowered teams, something very aligned with HiQ Group’s value-driven culture.
“We aim to become leading within Atlassian in the German market. This acquisition is an integral part of that goal. We are super excited to welcome these teams to Scandio today and keep our great relationship with K15t flourishing, now with a Scandio team that’s more geographically close than ever!,” say Christoph Köberle and Christian Koch, founders of Scandio.
